We are particularly interested in acquiring firms in the post-secondary and professional training areas, with an emphasis in higher education.

Candidate firms usually have annual revenues in the range of $2 million to $15 million. Larger or smaller firms are considered under special circumstances. We require controlling interest.

The firms we acquire possess or have the potential to develop some combination of the following characteristics:

• Strong customer relationships.
• A special market niche.
• Significant opportunities for The Palmer Group to add value.
• Achievement of excellence in operations and customer service.
• Opportunity to achieve a significant increase in value through a fundamental change in strategy or direction.

We prefer to invest in privately-held firms or purchase viable business units being divested by their parent firms. Our network of business contacts and relationships also directs us to a significant number of attractive investment opportunities in the education industry.
